Plain English: NodeSyn is self-hosted software you install on your own server. You own your data. Use it only on systems you own or are authorised to manage. We are an independent software product — an independent software product — and these terms reflect that reality clearly.
By downloading, installing, or using NodeSyn in any way, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have read and understood these Terms of Service, and agree to be bound by them. If you are using NodeSyn on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not download, install, or use NodeSyn.
NodeSyn is a self-hosted Windows Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) software product ("NodeSyn", "we", "us", "our"). These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and NodeSyn with respect to your use of the software.
NodeSyn installs on a Windows server you own. All monitoring data is stored on your own infrastructure. We do not host, access, or store your monitoring data at any time. We reserve the right to release new versions, modify features, or discontinue older versions. Because NodeSyn is self-hosted, we cannot and do not remotely disable, shut down, or alter your installation.
NodeSyn operates on a license key system. A free 14-day trial is included with each download — no credit card required. To continue beyond the trial or unlock your full agent limit, purchase a subscription from our website at nodesyn.com, which redirects you to our secure payment provider to complete checkout.
Upon purchase, you receive a license key. You agree to:
Your NodeSyn dashboard admin account is created locally on your own server — we do not maintain user accounts on our website.
All NodeSyn plans include a 14-day free trial period. No credit card is required to start. During the trial you have access to full features within the 1-agent free tier limit. After 14 days, activate a paid license key to unlock your chosen agent tier. You may continue using NodeSyn with 1 agent permanently for free without a paid license.
NodeSyn is intended exclusively for use by authorised IT professionals, system administrators, and managed service providers managing Windows infrastructure they own or are contracted and authorised to manage. By using NodeSyn, you confirm that you have all necessary permissions, consents, and authorisations to monitor and remotely manage every system on which a NodeSyn agent is installed.
You must not use NodeSyn to:
Unauthorised computer access and monitoring is a criminal offence in most jurisdictions. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of NodeSyn is lawful. NodeSyn and its developer accept no liability for illegal use of the software.
See our Refund Policy for full cancellation and refund details.
You retain complete ownership of all monitoring data generated by your NodeSyn installation. NodeSyn does not have access to, store, or process your monitoring data at any time. All data resides exclusively on your own server infrastructure. We make no claim over your data and will never attempt to access it.
NodeSyn includes an auto-update system. You control whether updates are applied. We test all releases before publishing. In the event an update causes issues, we will make reasonable efforts to provide a fix promptly.
Because NodeSyn runs on your own infrastructure, your uptime, data integrity, and system performance depend entirely on your own hardware, network, and environment. We are not responsible for:
We strongly recommend maintaining regular backups of your NodeSyn data directory before applying any update.
NodeSyn, including all software, source code, trademarks, logos, and documentation, is the intellectual property of the NodeSyn developer. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use NodeSyn as described. No other intellectual property rights are granted or implied.
You are solely and entirely responsible for:
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless NodeSyn and its developer from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of NodeSyn, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any applicable law, or any harm caused to any third party as a result of your use of NodeSyn.
NodeSyn is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, error-free performance, or freedom from security vulnerabilities. We do not warrant that automated fix actions will produce intended results. You use NodeSyn entirely at your own risk. Always maintain system backups and exercise caution before executing remote actions on production systems.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NodeSyn and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of goodwill, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total cumulative liability to you for any claims arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of NodeSyn shall not exceed the total amount you paid to NodeSyn in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the claim giving rise to the liability. NodeSyn is a software tool — we have no control over how you use it, what systems you act upon, or the consequences of actions you take through the platform.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Polar customer portal or by contacting us. We may deactivate your license key immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in illegal activity through NodeSyn, or fail to pay applicable fees. Upon license deactivation, your NodeSyn installation will cease to function beyond the free tier. Your monitoring data and installation files remain on your own server — NodeSyn cannot and does not delete any data from your infrastructure.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted at nodesyn.com with the revised date shown above. Your continued use of NodeSyn after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We cannot provide individual notice of changes as we do not hold user email addresses unless you are a current paying customer.
These Terms are governed by applicable international software licensing principles. In the event of any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of NodeSyn, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation for a period of 30 days before pursuing any other remedy.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and NodeSyn with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and representations.
If you discover a security vulnerability in NodeSyn, please report it responsibly to security@nodesyn.com before any public disclosure. Give us at least 30 days to investigate and release a fix. We will acknowledge receipt within 5 business days. Do not exploit or disclose the vulnerability to others during this period.
